We choreograph flow, food and sound so people feel at home together.

Venus By Design - EVENTS
Our first altar: love-led event design in a trend-choked era.
The Challenge:
We were learning to balance authenticity with expectation. Early on, the brand chased what was ‘in’ and dimmed what was true. Trying to integrate love into a mechanical events world while balloon garlands, bouncy castles, and Cricut assembly lines had everything in a chokehold—meant sensory design felt foreign and, to most, unnecessary.
The Approach:
As ‘just girls’ carrying aesthetics and harmony in our DNA, we rebuilt from hearts-led by love, beauty and the belief that design should feel like sunlight on skin.
Instead of following, we led with our whole selves: sense-driven experiences (scent, sound, touch, rhythm), Pinterest-worthy detail made real and care for the exact souls who were sent to us. It wasn’t just an events business, it was our initiation and training for a world we didn’t yet know we were going to build.
The Result:
Venus by Design became our first altar, a living embodiment of love as strategy and beauty as service. It taught us the cost of dimming our light and the exponential impact of turning it back on.
This project set the foundation for everything we now build: brands, spaces and experiences that feel radiant, intentional and unforgettable.
Those who interacted with us were blessed.

Spring Feastival
Part I: Where it all began
It’s 2017. Two of us—Tatenda and Tarisai, touch down on Zimbabwean soil for the first time since calling New Zealand home. We can hardly contain ourselves. As we drive past Harare Gardens, where our parents used to take us, nostalgia washes over. We glance at each other and grin.
This is it.
‘HONEY-(pause)-WE ARE HOME!’
Part II: Triggered
‘So where are you girls from?’ a stranger asks-eager, familiar. We’ve heard it a thousand times in Aotearoa, around the world, but why here? Why in Zimbabwe, from someone who looks like us and speaks our mother tongue?
We say, ‘We’re Zimbabwean.’ He presses: ‘But where are you really from?’
Part III: Holy kaka!
Sunday afternoon. The sun is kind, not scorching. The place is buzzing in a way Auckland Sundays never are. Sidewalks burst with vendors—fruit, veg, electronics, airtime, bits and bobs. Oliver Mtukudzi is blaring from nearby speakers.
Boerewors, chicken giblets, pork chops-everything we grabbed from the butcher up the road-sizzle on a half-drum, wood-fired braai. In the middle of the grounds, women work steaming pots of sadza. Cars ring the space, people posted at each one. Mazi tunes on heavy rotation. Laughter. Plates passed. Strangers becoming cousins.
Not a single ‘So where are you girls from?’
This is life. This is PaMereki.
Part IV: Planting the seed
Back in New Zealand, we tell our brother-who grew up in Zim-about this ‘new’ revelation. Disbelief, excitement, confusion all over his face. It never occurred to him that his sisters had never known one of his favourite pastimes. In the exchange, the disconnect becomes obvious.
So we built a bridge. Our partnership began.PaTomu was born.

BESPOKE mAGIK
We grew up hosting the popping neighbourhood parties-door open, music right, all our mates fed. Everyone seen. That muscle memory became our method. In a world lonely on purpose, we host on purpose: rituals that soften edges, food that says ‘you belong,’ sound that guides the room back to itself.
